East Lancs Railway 1940’s Weekend
The East Lancs heritage railway hosts its annual 1940’s weekend with period military and civilian vehicles on display, Spitfire and Hurricane fly past on the Saturday (weather permitting), Vintage and Retro Fayre, entertainers and hundred of re-enactors in period outfits.

25&27 May
East Kirby Reenactment Weekend
Celebrating the work of the RAF at this former WWII airbase. Each day will include Lancaster taxy runs, flying displays and re-enactors giving the Centre that RAF feel.

Returning for a second year the North of England’s largest Medieval Faire promises to offer lots of photography opportunities from battle re-enactments, knights jousting and hundreds of re-enactors in the medieval encampments.

Operation Tutbury Caste 1940 Weekend
‘Operation Tutbury Castle’ is the historic castle’s annual 1940’s event, with hundreds of enactors dressed in 1940’s uniforms and civilian dress. Living history groups and military vehicles along with fly pasts on both days by the RAF BBMF will help create an authentic nostalgic feel and some fantastic photo opportunities.
