Manchester Day Parade
The Manchester Day Parade started back in 2010 and now attracts over 2,400 participants who parade around the one mile long route on the streets of Manchester. This years theme is “Wish you were here” and these is a dedicated Flickr group and annual photography contest to go with the event.
GCR 1940s Wartime event
The UK’s only double track heritage steam railway plays host to its annual 1940’s War Weekend. With four stations each set out to a different theme – home front, Allied forces, occupied Frence and German plus new for this year an American base plus 100’s of re-enactors and period characters and entertainers.
‘Steampunk Doncaster – Promenade the Parish’ is a new Steampunk festival as far as i’m aware held over two days in Doncaster. Based at the
Doncaster College for the Deaf with free entry to all events and free on site parking. A promenade round the town’s Georgian and Victorian locations is also planned.

Medieval Fayre at the Old Hall
Medieval Fayre with 100’s of re-enactors. Based around the Old Hall in Cheshire’s Tatton Park there will be a living history camp, traders and demonstrations from warriors. At the end of the afternoon a battle re-enactment will take on the main field just outside of the camp.
Severn Valley Railway – 1940’s Weekend
Turn back the clock to the 1940’s in the first of the Severn Valley Railway’s wartime weekends. With a range of camps, historic vehicles, entertainers and flypast. There is a repeat event on the 6/7th July.
Operation Malt Shovel – Vintage Years Festival
National Brewing Museum – Burton Upon Trent
Vintage festival celebrating the fashions, music and classic cars of the 40s, 50s and 60s held T the National Brewing Centre. Fashion shows, period cars and re-enactors plus a fly past by the Battle of Britain memorial flight on the Saturday.
